Family Info:
I have been married for 28 years to Steve. Steve retired from Newport Beach Fire Department, which is why I am out of the house alot. Just kidding! We like outdoor activities, traveling, horseback riding, and spending time with friends.
How did you come to CBC?
My husband invited me to attend about 29 years ago! It was called Calvary Chapel of Dana Point at the time.
What is your role at CBC?
I am honored to lead people into the presence of God -- through music, readings, prayer, and example.
What is the best part about your role?
The best part of my role is watching people learn and grow in their worship experience. It is not about singing songs in a group setting, but lifting our voice as a congregation to our audience of ONE.
If you were a color, what color would you be?
Are you serious? My friends always make fun of me because I am always so specific about color names. It's not just green, it's "celadon;" it's not just purple, it's "aubergine." I would choose "azure" (aka blue). Blue is the color of sky and sea. Clear, inviting, refreshing, enveloping.
What do you count as the greatest invention of the last 100 years?
Well, I'm not going to say computers. Maybe ziploc bags. Or velcro. I really like velcro.
What is your favorite place on the earth?
My favorite place on earth is not limited to one location. Anywhere there is a wide open meadow, with some rolling oak-lined hills as a backdrop. Did I mention I would be on a horse while surveying this sight?
What makes you laugh?
Things that are absurd make me laugh.
What makes you cry?
Seeing love in action. People helping others, being the hands and feet of Christ.
If you could be on any reality television show, which one would it be?
You are making a huge assumption that I watch reality TV. Well, um -- busted. I want to be a designer on "Project Runway." I kind of like the Amazing Race because you have to be creative and competitive.....my two best features!
