Family Info:
I am newly married to Elyse, who is a Marriage and Family Therapist in our Care Department.
How did you come to CBC?
I'm pretty sure I came to CBC right after birth, even before going home first. Seriously though, I've been here my whole life and have worked in the toddler room, multimedia dept, jr. high and high school ministries, the school, and the kitchen.
What is your role at CBC?
I oversee our global outreach ministries. Our church is actively involved in ministries in Venezuela, Dom. Rep., Mexico, Swaziland and Russia. I organize the trips to these locations and manage child sponsorship, building projects and other missions items.
What is the best part about your role?
I get to travel, and help others travel the world ... helping the poor, visiting orphans and encouraging believers.
If you were a color, what color would you be?
Blue. I could surf naked and no one would see me. I'd be perfectly camouflaged.
What do you count as the greatest invention of the last 100 years?
The computer ... no wait, Mac computers ... no wait, my MacBook ... and my iPhone.
What is your favorite place on the earth?
Any coastline. With my back to the chaos of this world I can gaze out on the infinite horizon and forget all my worries, deadlines, bills and duties.
What makes you laugh?
People-watching with Elyse, The Simpsons, kids and really really old people.
What makes you cry?
"Extreme Makeover Home Edition." I've already gone through the whole tissue box by the time they finally move that bus.
If you could be on any reality television show, which one would it be?
"Out Of The Wild: The Alaskan Experiment." I've always imagined what I would do if I were dropped off in the wilderness and left to survive and lead a group to safety. I enjoy challenges, both physical and mental. I also love experiencing nature. As long as I have my Leatherman I'm good to go.
