Family Info:

I am married to my best friend, Karen, of 35 years. We have two great kids, Chris and Jenny. Our other kids are Jake and Molly (yellow Labs). We love traveling, boating, scuba diving, mountain biking, and walks on the beach.

How did you come to CBC?

A longtime friend invited us to CBC. The first message in Ephesians spoke to our whole family!!!! We knew we found our home at CBC. We have been attending since that day in 1990.

What is your role at CBC?

My position at CBC is Associate Pastor. My primary responsibilities are Marital and Pre-marital Counseling, couples classes and retreats. I am also blessed to oversee our prayer room and baptism classes.

What is the best part about your role?

What I like most about my position is being part of peoples' lives and helping them draw closer to God, praying for them and watching God's power at work transforming their lives for His glory.

If you were a color, what color would you be?

My favorite color is blue. If the color blue could talk, it would say, "I am the color of heaven, I am the color of the ocean, I am the color of prophesy, I am the color of healing, peace, joy, happiness and love. I desire to share and be a complement to all the other colors of creation."

What do you count as the greatest invention of the last 100 years?

I believe the computer is one of the greatest inventions. I appreciate all the resources it provides all in one place right at my fingertips!

What is your favorite place on the earth?

Hawaii is one of my favorite places.

What makes you laugh?

Funny movies make me laugh.

What makes you cry?

What makes me cry is broken relationships, people that are mistreated and those that don't know the love of God.

If you could be on any reality television show, which one would it be?

The reality show I identify with is "Survivor."  It seems I have always survived life's journey and can now look back and appreciate the challenges. Though hard at times the journey has seemed to be an obstacle course all the way. In the past I would attempt the course on my own, not always with the best results. I have learned to trust in the Lord, and He has been so faithful and helps me navigate the course. I have seen His hand turn the obstacles into opportunities.
