Families in Rich Encounters (F.i.R.E.)
CBC is about putting people in touch with God. Our families are the core of that connectedness. CBC values families and we want to give your family support and a chance to grow together in the family of God and as part of the CBC community. We encourage your personal growth through both the Men’s and Women’s ministries and support the growth of your marriage through our Married Couples Ministry. When it comes to your children's spiritual care and growth we offer many opportunities through our Children’s, Jr. High and High School Ministries. Each of these ministries are aimed at putting people in touch with God. With your family in mind, we encourage you to participate with Families In Rich Encounters with your family.

FiRE has teamed with The Treasure Box to help families by providing quality food at drastically reduced prices. Each month you can purchase pre-assembled boxes of frozen groceries retailing between $65 and $100 for only $30!*
The Treasure Box (Monthly Menu) This box always contains 21-25 pounds of high quality, frozen foods including chicken, pork, beef or seafood, in addition to vegetables, fruit, a side dish and a dessert. A family of four can eat these delicious foods for nearly a week, while an individual can dine on these fares for nearly a month!
The Hearty Meat Protein Box -$30 contains 10-12 lbs of protein and is a great supplement to your regular monthly Treasure Box.
The Quick & Healthy Meal Box-$30 contains 10 individually packaged 3 compartment meals. Each meal provides 1/3 of the daily nutritional requirements and includes the nutritional equivalent of 3 oz. of meat/protein and either two ½ cup vegetable servings or one vegetable and one fruit serving. Low in fat, cholesterol and sodium, and ready to eat in minutes. These meals are especially good for senior citizens, those with dietary restrictions, and anyone who is looking for a healthier choice.
Kids Box- $30 Kid friendly, quick & easy to prepare meals and snacks for kids and kids-at-heart designed for convenience during those lazy days of summer.
You can buy groceries for yourself or place an order for someone you know that can use the help. Each box is filled with nutritious and delicious products, including 9-12 lbs. of protein, in addition to vegetables, side dishes and desserts.
The "Treasure Boxes" can be picked up between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm at Capo Beach Calvary on the last Saturday of the month. Click Here to order.
Safe Families For Children - A safe temporary shelter for children when a family is in crisis.
When a crisis strikes, many families rely on relatives and friends for support. For some families, there is no safety net. Often a straightforward problem such as postpartum depression or unemployment can be debilitating. Children in these situations often suffer neglect or abuse; some eventually are removed from their home and placed in state custody.
But now, thanks to the exciting Safe Families For Children program offered by CBC through Olive Crest, parents experiencing a temporary crisis can arrange for their children to stay with a Christian family while they address the issues that led to their situation. Would you consider opening your heart and your home and becoming a temporary safe family of CBC for a family in crisis?
